Does Your Employer Let You Work From Home?

I can sometimes work from home a few times a month. My job involves a lot of public contact that requires being in the office, but there are also projects that can be best handled in solitude, and those I can do at home. My office is flexible with this as long as we arrange coverage for the customer service areas among ourselves. How about your office? Do you have anything in your job description that can be done from home? Do you ever work from home? Have you thought about asking your boss if you can? If not, is it because you don't think your boss/company would go for it or because you'd prefer not to work from home?
