I am a Christian. And each time i want to talk about God to people , a lot of them think that christianity will make them stupid. But the reverse is the case. Being Born again makes you smarter. I have tried many ways of getting them to God. I am winning some and i loose some. What is the best way to get people to accept Christ.

Try to remember that Christ did not force others to follow or accept him. He said what he had to say and let people think for themselves, make their own choices.
Why do people think that christianity will make them stupid? There is a history of any religion making people stupid, or rather fanitical to the point of stupidity, or worse. Does it always happen? no.
But for a very long time religion was FORCED on and at people sometimes violently, very often people have come to see a level of hypocrysy in many of the higher levels of church organizations.
So this makes people wonder, question, and doubt what they are being said.
There are many men and women in this world who remain loyal to the faith they grew up with. Never becoming stupid, or fanitcal or violent about it. There are many good people who find comfort or meaning in the religion they practice.
There are many who the more they learn about religion the more questions they have, the harder it is to accept and many who wisely do not accept blindly for even the bible says we should question.
I have been fortunate to know people of different religions. I have meet those who were Jewish who do not deny that Jesus was a man who lived, over 2000 years ago, they just do not see him as the promised savior.
I have meet those who were buddhists who while they did not deny that a man lived more than 2000 years ago and that the message of caring about others, showing kindness, tolerance, giving help, was a very good one. it doesn't mean it is thier spiritual value.
Are they wrong? For thinking that they have the answer?
While Christianity can trace its roots to Judaism, Hinduism is older than that. And is considered to be the oldest practicing religion in the world today.
Why has it lasted? They did not know of Jesus, yet it has endured why? If it is wrong why would it last?
I was taught that
Different is not right
Different is not wrong
Different is Different
I was also raised to believe in Jesus, and taught that it was important to follow his teachings, which were about caring, compassion, tolerance, helping, kindness, love, and freedom of choice.
Perhaps it is not so much that people think that Christianity will make them stupid, but that people do not agree with being preached at, at certain times.
And being Born Again is what exactly? I ask this because you say it makes a person smarter, so what do you mean by smarter? Smarter because they then agree with what you have taught? What you believe or smarter as in it is not possible to study anything they wish and learn it easily they can go to any class room and now easily grasp what is being taught.
If being born again makes a person smarter then I can become born again and I wil then have developed an aptitude for languages which I had never had before? I will be able to study and understand science better than before? learn to play a musical instrument?
If this is the case then I think I need to be born again.
For there are many areas which I wish to become smarter.
It is unfortunate that Someone like Einstien was not Born Again, think of the brillant discoveries, same for Thomas Edison, as brilliant as their minds were, if being born Again would make them smarter than it is sad indeed that they were not, perhaps the solution to pollution, and other ecological problems would now be solved.
The best way to get others to accept Christ is to follow by His example. Yes Jesus spoke of God the Father.
Yes Jesus spoke of faith in Him, but he did so at the appropriate time and place, He lead by example, by showing caring and compassion. not excluding people or going to those who were unacceptable to others. Sharing his gifts, of healing, his kindness, compassion.
What is the best way to get people to accept Christ, just do as He did. Live as He did.

Nowment that is a brilliant answer.
In reply to the original post, isn't the following in the Bible? "Many are called, few are chosen". I think that if you find your witnessing does not seem to be getting through to people, you just have to try your hardest and be glad of those you do manage to save. There should be no compulsion in religion.

Just because someone doesn't choose to follow your God doesn't mean it's because they are "afraid". Some people simply are not religious, and others already believe very strongly in their own religion.
I've often had people try to get me to convert to Christianity, and I try to politely explain to them that I have very strong beliefs, that my relationship with my gods is very personal, and that while I appreciate that they are trying to help me, I am not interested.
I do know there are some people who believe that all Christians are sheep who can't think for themselves. These people have probably just known a few of the wrong type of Christian, the type who just spout the same answers no matter what you ask them, and really aren't all that informed about their own religion. They're out there, they're way too loud, and they make the good Christians look bad.

You are so right emekus!
Knowing Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior is the most awesome thing ever! The best thing you can do for anyone is to point them to Christ. Telling others about Him is a way of showing God's love. We are commanded to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere we can and I pray that you will continue to do just that!
Also, pray for those you witness to. Not all will accept Him, but many will. Just remember those who are lost in your prayers...that God will open their hearts to His Word and His amazing love.
God bless you!!

1. Respect that people belive different from you and have the right to do that.
2.Actions speak better then words. No-one wants to be told over and over again. Live it and they will belive- Just like they did in the old days when the first community of belivers loved each other and cared for the sick and poor, that is what drew new belivers to them.
3. Pray for the lost and let the Holy spirit do its work at its time. You might be the one to plant the seed and later in their lives, there will be others who will harvest (lead them to christ).

It depends on the situation and the individual. Our job is to sow the seed and the Holy Spirit will do the rest. We just need to keep doing it and don't get discouraged but others say or do. That is between them and God.
