is it really possible for a four year old girl to have anorexia?
im just wondering if a child saying "i wont eat much so that i will be sexy" is a sign of having the possibility to have disorder in the future.
if im remember it right i red it once in a womens magazine that there is really a possibility for as early as four year old could develop this kind of disorder?

NO, I am sure it can not be possible. A four years old kid may say this, only if she heard similar from her family (mother, sister). But she can not do it, because as soon as she is hungry she forget all this stupidness. A four year old girl is very little to think about it. She can choose her clothes maximum. But she has not imagination about what is sexy.
I think the earliest age is about 10 can be.

Well, the main cause of Anorexia would be because of people being overly conscious of their figure, so I wouldn't be very surprised if it starts at such a tender age. People these days are far more superficial than they were years back. There is a possibility of the four year old developing it in the future, too. It would be wise to make sure the child eats enough and doesn't try to actually make it all come out after that.

Oh dear..I do believe that it is possible for a young child to suffer from this disease, and it's so much more scarier.
If this is your daughter, or a close friend's daughter etc. Please tell her about the new regulation to be a model...you can't be too thin anymore! You have to be a healthy weight and that's the final answer.
It's hard today when everywhere you look you see people telling you to look like them, but why we want to look like them is something I just can't figure out. Maybe talk to her about what she thinks is beautiful or sexy, and then debunk her theories with some of your own that tell her that a healthy weight is the sexiest thing you can have going for you.
