one should have watched the "before sunrise" to truly appreciate this movie. i cried when julie delphy and ethan was in the car and the were both talking about how their lives turn out after the venice thing 9 years ago. (was it 9?)
i think that in life, closures are important when people decide to end a relationship. if one or both has not overcome pain fr the relationship, that relationship is bound to haunt them. they will always look back to find that person she/he left.

i like it when they were walking out of the coffee shop, well actually it was a long scene, about 7mins or so and i highly regard the longshots made by r.linklater as a remarkable style of film directing.
BUT my fav scene must be the last scene of the movie, How Jesse(Ethan Hawke) said "i know" (with a trivial smile) the line thrown by Julie Delphy "baby, you're going to miss your plane". that summed up the entire movie!
Wonderful movie!

That was one awesome movie....The way the emotions were conveyed. If more movies were made like this, i wish.....

I loved both films. Before Sunset is my favorite though. My favorite scene....wow there are so many that were sweet. I loved the scene where they were on the tourist boat and their conversation started getting really serious. I remember sitting in the theatre getting really emotional about that scene!

i really like the scene where they poured out their hearts in the cab... an emotional rollercoaster ride.... with all the what-ifs and all the regrets... it really shows how much they wanted each other... but without the intimacy. simply beautiful!!

Like you I also love the waltz for a night scene. The movie is subtle and nuanced.
The payload in the end makes it more worth it.
