There are many possible answers to this. First, daily prayer and bible study are essential in tuning into God's prompting. If you're not developing your relationship with Him, it will be difficult to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Next, make yourself available to people and situations. Volunteer your time. You will find yourself in situations where God will use you. These experiences will help you to learn where God wants you. Finally, sit down and write a list of your positive attributes. What are you good at? Are you a good listener? Are you sensitive? Any particular talents? Do you have a servant's heart? Ponder these things in prayer. God will reveal answers to you.

That's very good advice. I am really good at working with young children. I volunteer my time in the children's church. I really enjoy working with that group. I still feel like there's something more that I should be doing. I went to school, got a degree, but I'm not using it. I'm a stay at home mom, which is good. I don't feel like my purpose is to be at home after working so hard in school but I have not found a full-time job outside of the home since giving birth to my first child.

you purpose in life is to be think, to feel, to do good works, to love, laugh and learn. you have to be a good person accordin to what that means to you. but what i do know for a fact is, you just have to love, laugh, learn, and teach. just be happy. that is his will. not to suffer and struggle. but to be happy. and when you are not doing everything in your power to live a happy good life then you are not doing is will. to some that sounds selffish but it's not. when you are happy and everyone else around you is happy. and that is how you teach. that is how you learn. you are doing his will by even asking this question, you want to learn, so you are on the right path, just keep walking down it with a smile on your face and a sing in your heart!

I think that I'm a good person and I mean well, I know that I'm not perfect and I have some areas in my life that I need to improve. I think I spend more time trying to make everybody else happy and I need to spend more time doing things for me without feeling guilty. I just have a feeling that I'm suppose to help people all the time.
