I am deathly afraid of wasps. I was stung a gazillion times when I was little. They seem attracted to me for some reason and even though I haven't been stung in over 15 years I'm still afraid. I won't even go in my house if there is one by the door. I'll wait until it goes away - I get panic attacks when I see one that close to me.
I'm also afraid that my husband will die in Iraq but that is a more practical fear.

OK, I'm thinking, trying to iamgine if I were confronted with all sorts of things, would I be afraid. I think I'm afraid of being alone and having no one to love or to be loved by. I mean, if you have at least 1 family member you love, you're not alone. But if you have absolutely no one, that would scare me.
A second thing, would be for someone to restrict me. To be able to keep me in a room and not let me out. To tell me I couldn't go to church without serious repercussions. I guess I fear losing my freedom.
And my last fear is of spiders. It's not my greatest fear, but it is a fear. It all stems from a teenaged incident I don't care to repeat. : )

I am deathly afraid of dogs, I cannot even go to someones house who has a dog if it is not tied up! I was attacked when I was little , then again as an adult of 30, I think I scare myself even more because I think they can smell fear so that makes me even more afraid! I am absolutley ridiculous when it comes to dogs!

no, i don't think so. all people have their own weaknesses. if they don't have fears, then that's a sign of not being human anymore. each one has something that causes turmoils within. something that bothers a person and adds anxieties to one's heart. all people have fears. some people may not be recognizing their fears right now, but when they come face to face with it, they would realize that they fear it.

Everyone must have something to fear. Some people who say that they have not one may have not time to think about theyselves and maybe always live in the currunt. If they consider something in the future, such as layoff, diseseas or poor and so on, I think they will not say they don't fear anything.

I think that anyone who says they don't have any fears is not being entirely truthful. For me, it's heights. I get literally frozen to the spot when I am up somewhere high. I've tried to overcome it by hiking mountain trails but just end up gripped in the fear again.
