What's the differance with a M.D. and a D.O. I have to choose new doctors for my kids and most of them are D.O. And how do I choose?

Hello 'cupoftea.' An MD is a medical doctor, the type that most people are familiar with. A DO is a doctor of osteopathic medicine. Their training is just as diligent but has a few unique twists. Here is a website that explains how their focus is different (holistic approach, manipulation, musculoskeletal system, primary care and more) http://www.askdrwalker.com/index/What_is_a_doctor_of_osteopathic_.htm
