How Embarrassing - I didn't know I had so many Unresolved Discussions

There was a time when I clicked on the Unresolved Discussions and only a page or two would actually come up. I would read the responses, add some comments, and choose the best response if there was actually one to be found. I have been spending a lot of time going through my Unresolved Discussions yesterday and today. I was surprised at how many there were. Maybe there was a glitch in the system that would not allow all of my past discussions to show. I am ebarrassed at how many I have. So, I am now busy with the task at hand of going through them all and getting them resolved.
Thank you to all who have responded to my discussions. I will be also checking out the discussions that my friends have started. But my main focus today is to resolve my past discussions. Huggers to all!

I am still fairly new to mylot. . . how do you resolve a discussion? Is it just picking a best response?

Thanks for asking this question and to the person who replied. I didn't know what an unresolved discussion was. I still am trying to figure out how people add little pictures to their comments too. Perhaps it is just a matter of having enough comments. I tried to copy and paste something the other day and it wouldn't let me do this yet nor can I put a referral. It gave me a message that they were trying to avoid spam, and I needed to have a bigger number. Anyone know what that magic number would be?

Yes when you pick the best response then it moves it out of your unresolved discussions. People can still comment on them it just takes it out of that category.

I was actually wondering this morning where you were! I thought that you had been keeping a "low profile". I have to do the same thing, but I don't have that many discussions, so it will be an easier task. Glad to know you're OK!

i always check on my unresolved discussions. usually, such discussions only have one or two responses. and that's why i can't decide on it yet. i am still looking and hoping that somehow, there will be more responses i could get. there were discussions that are still unresolved for months. and i am sorry to share this to you all. but that's the truth. it's hard to decide on which is best when comparing two responses or just having one response at all.

I try to add another comment to get it back up for discussion. If that doesn't work, I decide which is best.

i also have many unresolved discussions. i will try to mark the best response to all of them the soonest. i still have examinations so am kinda busy to read all of the responses again.

I agree-- I said I would to do this yeaterday.. but then I got tied up into other great discussions and didn't get around to it. I can't believe how many I have either-- (I think only a couple of pages) but still-- I want to give out best response so people feel good.

oh gosh thanks for reminding me lol..i'd better go after i make a rosie lee to check them ..what a plonker man..i can't keep up and now for some reasons i don't get laerts in my inbox there is a glitch i am so much slower..yikes..

Good Luck, lol, and thanks for the gentle reminder, I probably have tons myself, lol. Although I usually pick a best response shortly after a discussion is started, depending on if there is a comment that really catches my eye or not, I know I have some that I have not. Well Good Luck, I guess I am off to do the same right now :)

Hi Elusive I guess we are all like that at times lol, I haven't looked at mine Lately either as I have been so busy fighting all the Discussions that where started while I was of here. I had nearly 600 Mails of Discussions and responses lol.

Hey...no problem! I have been avoiding picking a best response.
Only because I have such a hard time picking one!
There are so many response that I think are deserving that I really struggle to pick just one!
I wish they would allow us to pick one best response from each page of a discussion.
So, if we had 18 pages of responses...we would be able to pick 18 people...one from each page! That would make it sooooo much easier!

You aren't alone Elusive, I resolved a lot many of mys discussions only yesterday..lol. Even I was under the impression that I only have my recent discussions on there, and I like to wait a little before I give out best responses. I was busy lecturing on another discussion that best responses must be given out and discussions should be resolved...sheesh, I hadn't done that myself!! so many of my old ones started when I first joined were still 'unresolved'. Well, I didn't waste a minute more and went about marking best responses.

Congratulations on doing your MyLot house keeping, I try and check 'unresolved' and rate discussions on the weekends .. that's an easy time for me to remember to do it .. so far I am 'up to date' but it's east to get behind .. one 'popular' discussion could net 100+ replies .. all needing rating one way or the other and some replies needing commenting on, then choosing the 'best response' ...
I think it would be very nice of MyLot to gives us a 'bonus' payout for when we give a 'best response' .. not only would it make housekeeping more important to everyone .. but it would be a 'pat on the back' for making good discussions that lots of folks want to visit but that we only get paid a 'flat rate' for :o)

Why are discussions unresolved, I've got 10 at the moment? Are they unresolved because they haven't got a best one selected? or is there some other reason. I now wait for around 3 weeks until choosing a best response, or longer for many of them until I get a resonable number of responses.
If its because of not having a best response then it will make my life easier as I've been going through them all one at a time, and found I've already chosen best response for some of them.

It is difficult when you find that you have some that are unresolved. I need to check mine as well. Hope it is not too time consuming.
