Do you think Christian Metal is in tune with the Heavy Metal genre?

What I mean is do you think the groups such as P.O.D. have general appeal or are they strictly appealing to Christians? (I am agnostic and love P.O.D.)...

I really think that bands like that have their own appeal, and there are a lot of people who aren't christian but still love POD. Now back in the 80's, you couldn't really like Stryper without being a christian. At least that was how the music and lyrics made it seem.
