Are the characters in "Lost" caught between life and death?

Or do you think they are already dead?
Last night's episode was very creepy.....the idea of time travel, seeing the future, or possibly being "lost in limbo"?
I love this show....I am starting to think maybe all of them are already dead, and this is being used as a premise to show their previous lives...anyone else agree?

I honestly don't know what to think. I have a vague feeling that somehow the screen Carl was looking at is a hint that they are all in some sort of hypnotized state and that they are all being connected somehow as helping one another. At first, I had a strong hypothesis that they all had signed themselves up for some sort of brain-washing process in which that had a traumatic experience (the plane crash) that helped them grow apart from their former selves and become resocialized in the most primitive sense (with other people who signed up, portrayed as fellow crashees), but have since abandoned that. I really hope the writers know where they're going from here, because it could get disatrous.

allshookup, your hypothesis and mine can easily be merged into one and both be accurate. I'm thinking that is my new theory. Thanks.

No, you are right. Not everyone does. But here I am simply letting you know that your theory, although thought by many at one time, is not true. Not because I say so, but because the producers say so. However, you chose not to believe me. That's your perogative.
