I've been wandering about this myself too. I said why we celebrating it and why do we have to hightlight this day? When did this started and the history behind it. To me Valentines day is just just a normal day to me. Nothing really special to me on this day. I have never celebrate it myself big. Maybe I got flowers from suitors but that's it. Or have a date. Nothing really special. I like your number 1 respondents. Thanks. I have an idea now.

in my country valentine day not so popular but if iam not wrong, Saint Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day is on February 14. It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other; sending Valentine's cards, candy, or donations to charities, often anonymously. It is very common to present flowers on Valentine's Day. The holiday is named after two men, both Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished...perhaps will help you.greetings.
