In 1985 The Call Center and I.T Industry started in the Philippines my home country, since then it grown big and now even to the provinces you can see a call center and a lot of Filipinos benefit for the job it brings and the high salary pay. Question is "Are we stealing these job from the Americans? My point of view is that we are not stealing it from them. These investors choose the Philippines because we are the only english Speaking country in Asia. We can adopt the language of the Aemricans and we are easy to teach. We have good educational background that we can be proud of. We have films that won an award in international award giving body, Singers that are excelling Internationally and our country offers a variety of good deeds. The people are hospitable, Beaches are really world class, food are good and what have you.
Anything you can ask for? come and visit the Philippines and enjoy a paradise like life here, now and the rest of the days!!!

We, Filipinos are not stealing these jobs from American. I guess Filipino call centers now are being preferred worldwide because of its high level English proficiency, cost effectiveness, good business practice and high quality service.

Well for us Filipinos I guess we did not steal it since they were the one's that offered that jobs and we didn't pushed ourselves with them. We applied and the employers chose us to be qualified so we did not steal the jobs from them. They chose us because they can save more money from putting their business here.

We're not stealing any jobs in my opinion. They chose our country and brought these jobs to us. These jobs also benefit both parties and I hope more foreign investors bring their market here so we could at least rise from the ashes.

I'm American, and I truly don't think you're stealing anyones job, either. Many americans probably think so, but I'd prefer it be in a country were the people truly benefit from it. And it's preferable over factories being built and the sort. A good, cleaner way to boost the economy.
American's COULD do the job, but I see no harm in others doing it too.
