Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, a great short story. Could you envision it being the greatest film adaptation of a Stephen King story? well it is and even after seeing the movie over 20 times it still grips you. Can you name a better King adaptation?

shawshank most probably. misery was a dissapointment and kind of dragging. hearts of atlantis is good too. i like the movie very much.
i hope they'll do a movie on the novel, the girl who loved tom gordon.
was there a movie about needful things?

There have been so many bad adaptations of Stephen King stories that it is very refreshing to see a good one. My favorite is still The Shining (which Stephen King actually hated prompting him to do a TV remake), followed closely by Shawshank, Misery, and The Green Mile (his best novel in my opinion)

No doubt this is the best adaptation of a Stephen King Story. Though I thing The Shining is excellent. Green Mile was also very good. Also good were Stand By Me, The Running Man (although it was nothing like the story), and of course Misery. Who could forget the hobbling scene? There are so many other SK movies that have been made and most of them are terrible. It's always been such a big disappointment for King fans. For example, Carrie, Pet Cemetary, Lawnmower Man and Cujo.
