How many of you like Rudy Giuliani- would you vote for him for President?

do you think he would make a good president? I'm kind of on the fence, although anyone is better then Bush!

I feel like you do- I'm kind of on the fence about him. He did a fantastic job as Mayor of NY after 9/11, but I don't really know much about him other than that. I would need to know a lot more about where he stands on the major issues such as the war, the military, immigration, healthcare, and the environment. It's so early in the campaign now that it's impossible to make a firm decision yet. He does seem to be very "down to earth", but something about him just doesn't sit well with me when considering his as the President. I can't put my finger on it; it's just some nagging thought that there is something wrong.

As a Brit id say anyone could not do a worse job than Dubya, except maybe Blair. Seeing what Rudy did for New York i think he would make a good President for the States. Would he get the nomination tho cause from what i have seen it isnt excactly democratic the way they hold the nominations is it?

he seems like a very down to earth type of person. Guss we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Rudy would be good, he exhibited good abilities during the September attack. Also Elizabeth Dole would be good as well as Condoleeze Rice. Wish Arnold Swarzenegger could run. Anyone but Hilary and maybe not Obamatoo many questions. I have had an ok time with Bush.

If people all remember how he handled 9-11-01= I think he's got a great shot at it. That's what I remember about Rudy. His poise, compassion, leadership when we needed him. I actually felt alot safer with all the terrorism going on each time I turned on the tv and saw him. But then again- what else does he stand for?? I would need to do some research first.. So I like you would be on the fence--- Wouldn't it be great if it was Hillary vs Rudy?? 2 NY figures?

I am not yet sure whom I will vote for, but I did respect his strength during 9/11- he seemed genuine and took control and did what in my opinion, was a great job considering what was going on and he spent a lot of sleepless nights helping and being there.

We don't know so much about him here, apart from the fact that he earned a lot of respect for his handling of the aftermath of 9/11, and also his zero tolerance campaign on street crime etc. He seems like a tough guy, but fair, and as belgarion says, from our point of view, ANYONE would be better than Bush! Not sure of his age, but I always think of him as being in his late 50's/early 60's, so is he not a little too old now, for a long run in such a high office?
