Dogs or cats? what is the better animal?

Most people prefer dogs over cats, or cats over dogs. what do you think? I think dogs are more affectionate, smarter, better friends, and all around better company. Cats clean themselves with their tong, poop in the house, keep their distance, and only pay attention to you when they want food.
