Hey America--stop asking the government to do your job for you!

Parents, start doing your job! Everytime I turn around today, someone is trying to have something banned, something regulated, someone sued, or someone blamed. Parents: if you don't like your children watching violent television and movies, then don't let them watch violent tv and movies. If you don't want your children to listen to rap, then bring them up in an environment where other music is played and where they don't have easy access to rap. I understand that it's hard to be a parent today, but just because it's hard doesn't mean that it is impossible. And for heaven's sake, stop trying to pin the blame on the government. It is not the government's job to make sure that your kid doesn't grow up with a warped sense of reality--it's YOURS. Comments people, please. Is anyone else sick of everyone tagging someone else and passing off the responsibility?
