The Proper Way of Using the Internet

While surfing the Internet, I found a site 'autobuilder.com' that wanted me to refer members to earn money. Then I found another site that promised me to give a list of e-mail addresses for just $ 1.00. I accepted the offer and it gave me a list of nearly 1000 e-mail addresses, many of which are perhaps invalid too. I approached the e-mail addresses to know if I could send them my program. During the course of this exercise, MSN kept on asking me to type 8 letter/digit code words to ensure that it was not being done by an automated system. I complied their instructiions every time. I had sent nearly 200 odd e-mails, 50% of which could not be delivered, when quite abruptly the MSN declared my e-mail address as invalid accusing me being guilty of violations. I am at a loss to understand why they have cancelled my e-mail address, when I followed their instructions every time. Can't we request people to give their consent for sending them our programs. I was just requesting them and not imposing my programs on them forcibly. If we can not contact people by sending e-mails, what way does the Internet serve us?
Can anyone please guide me. All my e-mail addresses that I had purchased are also lost in the din.
