I entered that title because i noticed that our country is still not matured yet, Why? Because i remember when i was studying our history I noticed that some events in our past history are repeating itself from our present time. Do you agree with me that our country is still imature?

that's cute. Philippines is immature. I think it's not about the country, it's the people who have the power to control Philipppines because mostly they have the power to turn the tides of our nation where power and riches makes politicians or even citizens betray their fellowmen.

ya we are immature. Look at how the people voted last election and all the elections before that. They didn't even pick the issues out, some don't even feel the significance of the choice they are making. Most filipinos don't give a damn about the government because the government don't give a damn about them. I came from the barrios and I saw this firsthand. The only time they think they are important is when they vote, and even then they are still going to be taken advantaged of.
I just hope that the political turmoil, the impeachment issue, the chacha, the hello garci, fertilizer fund, and all other scandals wake the immature Filipinos, I hope they realize that it all hangs on this election. If we are really tired of being poor, then we should vote maturely.
But anyway, with the current surveys where the trapos and incapable candidates are at the bottom I think we are finally maturing.

Yes, I agree that the Philippines is still immature. It is still young and it seems that it's not growing. On the contrary, it's becoming worse. I hope that the government officials will grow for the sake of the country and not for their own personal welfare.

Can you cite some examples supporting your theory why the country is still immature. And can you also give some examples of coutries who are already mature and give the reasons stating that claim. :)

watch some news and recall your history subects in highschool and college. A good example about mature country is the Japan, after bombed by a atom bomb from the americans... Japan recovered fast unlike us that we where not bombed by an atom bomb. Compare our country to Japan... they are fast to recover... their government is run by a minimum of corrupt officials. I don't blame you if your angry with me from my post but isn't true? If you are from manila, try open your eyes from the different places in our country... and you may see the truth.

what i wanted to say is , the philippines was never been immature, but the people are immature. thats the same how you show your immaturity as a person when you air the immaturity of the philippnes. when i respons to you like this shows also my immaturity on the aspect of communication for i lack the maturity to behave. Going back to my first sentence i said you became immature when you make this as a topic.
My understanding to mylot is like a public communication where the whole world will be reading all the items that you write. I mean shouting the immaturity of the philippines is not good. Lets see it in the family circle example, where one of the family member commited an act that dishonor the family, you dont go in the street shouting for it. But rather , we should keep quiet and let us solve the problem within ourselves. So look at the wider perspective, people will then put in public all the undesirable system of our politician to include the bad system of government. the people who read them will say, so those are the likes of the filipinos, which to me are not god.
i would encourage you next time to choose your topic and it is better to be an ambassadress of goodwill than the opposite of it.
have a good look on it. good day
