I sure have! I've even paid for a meal for two at taco bell with dimes, I was broke and we were hungry. It took so long to count them out, the guy gave us the meal for free! He was getting impatient with us I guess. It was kind of embarassing!

Well i've used small cash. i guess thats what you mean right?
Most change here are 20p - 50p - £1 - £2 (these add up and of course i often use them) small change 1p - 2p - 5p and 10p i have used at times but not because i don't have notes because i hate change.
I use it to get rid of because it does grow and i hate having to carry around millions of pennys. (to sorta say)
~Kudos!

Most banks have a machine that allows you to take in the coins and they just run them through the machine to get an accurate count. This only takes a few minutes and you do not have to roll them. I use this feature of my bank quite often.
I have paid in coins from time to time. I know that a lot of the cashiers don't care for it because they have to count whatever coins are in their registers at the end of thier shift. BUT hey, if I need something and all I have is change, then so be it I will use it! It's still money.
On a side note: Did you see that the new George Washington dollar coin is going to be in circulation soon? Better make sure to watch your coins carefully for a while so that we don't mistake them for quarters like happened with the Susan B Anthony dollar coins. I know I did that a few times...UGH!

I do it every now and then, it is embarassing to me though =) I don't know why money is money!! I usually do it if I didn't get that much stuff, a few dollars worth. I don't want to be counting out $20 in change....$5 or less is like my limit!
