good listener means................?

A good listener is someone who listen to what someone says, they interact and care. they'll talk back and maybe offer advise. Generally good listeners are those who like talking and aslong as they actaully listen and reply. while taking in those words which have been told to them then yes this makes them a good listener. someone who looks in your eyes, but doesn't stare of course, and who nods their head as youre talking to show they are hearing you, and someone who can repeat back what you said to them.

Being a truly good listener means more than just being able to stay quiet while someone else talks a lot. Being a good listener also means that you enjoy listening, and actually take in what the other person is saying, and can give them feedback at the end if they want or need it. Being a good listener also means that you really care about what the other person is saying, and you aren't just tuning out and letting them drone on for hours. LOL.

Being a good listener does not mean you have to be quiet the whole time the other person is talking,the speaker might feel intimidated as they would probably feel you are not paying attention( maybe your thoughts have wandered off elsewhere). I think the best meaning of 'being a good listener' is being able to maintain eye contact with the person talking.A good listener will stay in tune with the conversation and will react responsively whilst making appropriate gestures e.g nodding and passing a few comments,It lets the person talking know that you are interested in the conversation. Being a good listener means not interrupting the speaker or finishing up their sentences,most people feel offended by this.Being a good listener means not rushing the speaker and remaining emotionally controlled throughout the conversation.

A good listener is someone who'll listen closely to everything that's being said and then says something very relevant and helpful. In a way they don't even have to say much, just a little word here and there helps a lot as the person talking *feels* like someone is listening to them and respecting what they have to say. In todays society I feel that a lot of people don't know how to listen anymore, so when you come across someone who does then that's incredibly special.

I my opinion a good listener means that he/she will hear all the problems that been spilled out and try to share the problems which have occurred together and eventually try to solve it too. Usually a good listener have past experience which they have been through and with this experience they tend to solve the problems. It a really noble job just to help out friend which needed for help. Cherish you friend and they will cherish you.
