Any coupon advice?

I know people who can clip coupons and feed a huge family for $40 or $50 a week. Some how this ability is beyond me. None of the stores in my area double coupons, and I know that is one way they are able to do that. But what are other secrets? How do you get large lots of coupons specifically for the items you need/want/use? I can use any pointers I can get. Between the constantly raising prices of food and other necessities, the raising cost of gas and having a family of six to feed I need all the help I can get!

I don't clip coupons. I go into the website of the items that I buy most often and get coupons from them. Sometimes you can get free samples. I invested in a printer (from Ebay) and I print my coupons from other website that offer a wide range of coupons.

Thanks for the reply! We do own a printer, so I can print coupons with no problems. I never thought to go directly to the manufacturer's site for coupons!

I would like to see someone that can clip enough coupons to feed a family that big .... coupons aren't that much in savings when shopping ...my suggestion is to buy the newspaper and see which stores have the best sales on the things you need ...I don't use coupons myself as I have found that they give coupons for the things that are always a higher price and I can buy the store s brand for less ...good luck with this ... I understand where you are coming from ...we need to start our own farm to live anymore ...lol

We use the store brand for a lot of things, but we are in a pretty isolated area and there isn't a big choice when going to the store. In order to get the good deals I'd have to drive an hour one way, and that just doesn't make sense when you consider gas price. Walmart matches prices, but only on brands they carry. I do know where to get the cheap ground beef, but I try only need to make one trip.
I do honestly know people who can feed a family the size of mine for super great deals, but I know double couponing plays a big part in that.
