I have two handicapped birds...one is a cockatiel with only one eye. You really can't tell that she is handicapped except by looking at her. She flys very well, but she likes to sit on my left shoulder, so that her good eye can see what is going on, and her bad eye is toward me since she trusts me. I also have a rescued red rump parakeet who has bad feet, curvature of the spine, and a twisted beak. I have to file his beak monthly, and supply large perches for him to balance on. Does anyone else have a handicapped or special needs bird/cockatiel?
