Cable internet or DSL?

i know the basics about them, but can any one tell which ups and downs of either service? to me, it just seems like both of them have equal shares and weaknesses. so for me my judgement about them is 50/50. any comments?

well i amnot so good inthis, i can only tell you i have DSL and i find it great, it depends on the serviuce the companies offer you

Cable tends to be faster, unless you're paying extra for a higher-speed DSL service. I have DSL and the people in my apt. building who use cable have speeds of about 3Mbps, while my DSL speed is 760Kbps.
The one potential drawback of cable is that there's one pipline coming into your street or neighborhood, and if a lot of people sign up for cable Internet they're all sharing that bandwidth, so it might slow down at peak times if a lot of users are downloading large files, watching video, etc. at the same time.
