A childs mother was talking to another woman and her little girl said " I want some water NOW!" Her mom told her that she could have water when she asked nicely. The little girl STORMED out of the room and came back with a glass of water and poured it all over the floor. She beat her until she was literaly black and blue. The lady was yelling and CURSING at the little girl. I know that the little girl deserved to get a spanking but i think she crossed the line what about you?

that is abuse, a spaking is a firsm swat on the butt but it should be all. This mother step over the line. The girl wanted attention and the mother should have stop given her a talking to and then a glass of water and continued her activity. But instead she ignored her and thus she blew up and then the mother over did it and thus took it to far.

Yes, I would agree that the mother crossed the line....but I must admit that I am of an age apparently long lost that punished children when they stepped out of line. These days, children appear to do as they please because parents don't seem to have either the control or the will to control their children and I think it is really sad....are we teaching our children that they can do as they please whenever they please, regardless of the consequences to others??
