Some things I buy brand name and some I don't. When it comes to food, there are some things that I HAVE to buy brand name due to my daughter being allergic to peanuts. Some cheaper brands say may contain peanuts, where as, the brand name won't say that.

Major companies make a product and market it for a in there opinion fair price. However, the store that they are selling at likes to have itsown brand which is made by a mojor company but sold under the store name and for less. For example I like oil of olay beauty cream, you can but beauty oil at Giant for half the price and when you read the label it matches the olay bottle to a t. It is all about business and making the almighty buck.

Well, that really depends on stores, 'coz most have different mark-up rates depending on their delivery fees and other stuff.

I usually go for the no name brands. Except on some things The only kind of cream of mushroom soup I will buy is canpbells. There is just nothing better. In all I would say that no m name is probably 95% just as good. Some of the products are even better. I will not pay for a name.

yup, from time to time we could have a good and bad buys... but i dont mind them, it s natural you'll learn from your mistakes.. but whn u buy things that involve great money then by that time i think you better assess first the brands costs etc, so you wont have a bad buy.. :)
