What does your name mean?

Have you ever wonder why your parents name you as such? When I was in college, the first thing our professor asked us was what was the meaning of our name. Since then I've been curious about meaning of names. Others say that we become what our names implied us,so naming our kids could affect their future? When I got pregnant I started looking for unique names with great meanings, then I realized wherever I looked my name doesn't exist in any dictionary of names. It was quite frustrating and fascinating. I developed this interest of compiling unique sounding names and their meaning. Could you tell me if you know what your name mean? Why you were given such name and do you like it, as well as the meaning that goes with it?

my name means heavenly.
when i asked my parents why they named me as such, they always told me that they liked the name a lot.
i have always thought that a person's name also reflects his personality. that is why my husband and i really took time to think of a good name for our daughter.
