PC monitor problem.

i had this problem with my monitor,it suddenly turns off when i used it for 2-3hrs,i dnt know whats happening with it.it started december of 2006,and after that it suddenly turn off but the program is still running,whether you play games or surfing,you can still hear the program running.what you think guys is the problem with my monitor?does it need replacement or just repair it?help please.

Check your power settings in the control panel if all the settings are right than just take it to a good mechanic who can repair it. I think any of its joint got loosed and needs to be soldered again.

Pliz check your power setting, profile. it may be the cause. However I feel it may not be since you are using the PC, only in not use this can happen. Another thing you can check is SMPS. Else please visit any Hardware shop where you can ask them to check the monitor. I think it only needs a repair. I am sure about it. My friend the same problem. it would cost much.
