Hair straightening any suggestions?

I have got short(since i'm a boy) thick,hard hair which is a mix of both curly and staright hair . You can call it wavy . I want to know how can i straighten my hair?
Any natural technique of getting it straight instead of hair straightening cream cause because of it my hair falls a lot.
