dog behavior

i have a rotweiler cross kelpie female dog thats about 3 years old.most of the time when i go to see her out in the back yard she jumps up on me,i have tryed yelling,smacking,pushing her off,&lifting my knee up to stop her.she is a big strong dog & she nearly knocks me over everytime she jumps up.does any one know how i can stop her from doing this?

Well if you are going out to see the dog. frist are you doing this very often. the more often you do this the better. when you go out to where the dog is tell the dog to stay down. and when she does tell her she's a good dog and give her a treat.always keep a treat with you when you go uot to see her.

itsher way of telling you she wants to play. Talk to her from inside the house first, ir throw her a ball or stick to chase when you go outside if you have taught her to fetch.
