how many Hawaiians actually live in Hawaii?

                    According to the US Census the estimated population for the census conducted in 2005 was 1,275,194.
of which only approx. 9.0% are native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islanders.
26.8% are caucasions
but asians hold the highest percentage of the population at 41.5%.
