why is there light in the fridge but not in the freezer?

Well it's really quite odd isn't it! Maybe it's because we tend to take stuff out fo the freezer in the mornings to thaw in time for dinner? But that's not even true these days with so many microwave and precooked foods kept in the freezer and pulled out 5 minutes before dinner time.

you made me think of the old days when i also used to sneak around at night thinking that something new would be miraculously added to our fridge...hehe...thanks for the response. really liked it. :)

You know I was thinking... as a child I remember our freezer was always above the fridge, but these days it's more common to have the freezer down low. Maybe because the freezer used to be up high, it was able to take advantage of natural or room light. Also - in my family home, our fridge gets raided by one of us at least every 5 minutes it feels, sometimes just opening the door, lingering for a minute,eyeing stuff, amazed that nothing new has magically appeared and closing the door. Freezers are used much more situationally.

yea and your topic made me think of that idea i guess theres a big reason to a freezer doesnt have light.

ha ha i was thinking about that one too. i am not sure what the point of having a light in the fridge and not the freezer is
