After work today, me and my husband our heading out on a weekend getaway. Friends and family have made comments that is is suppose to snow a LITTLE (1-2 inches) down here this weekend. Everyone keeps asking if we are still going. When I say yes, they are surprised. We are both formerly from the North, and used to driving in alot more snow then we ever get down here. I could see their point if we were going someplace that was getting a hurricane or something. But everyone panics down here when it snows even a little. Do you stay at home for the day or cancel vacation plans because of the weather? And how bad does it have to get for you to stop traveling?

Well it's really not all that suprising that you still want to go, especially if it's a much needed trip..But i would suggest go if your experianced in the snow and if it gets to bad to just pull off and wait for the snow to let up.(just got hit with 16 or 17 inches of snow im in ohio)...But even with snow still on some of our roads and all we are making a trip to michigan which is prolly worse than here..So i would say go and have fun..
As for the traveling normally i wouldn't if it's suposed to get really bad like it did the past week here but since it all cleared up some were gonna make a break for it lol...

I'm a former buckeye resident. And my husband is from Upper Michigan! So I hope you have a good trip to Michigan! We just got back from Gatlinburg and had a great time. It snowed but nothing major.

LOL Omg no..I'm from Canada in one of the snow belt areas and even though I personally dont drive, driving in the snow (as a passanger) doesnt phase me at all...nor does it my husband who is from Western New York and also a snowbelt area.....The weather would have to be pretty damn bad to keep us inside and off the roads...like blizzard conditions..
