people have been reading books of Bible for nearly 2000 years now.
"Ministers, Priests and Rabbis preach it. scholars spend their lives studying and teaching it in universities and seminaries. People read it, study it, admire it, disdain it, write about it, argue about it and love it. People have lived and died for it. And yet we do not know who wrote it" [Who wrote the Bible, R. Elliott Friedman, Harper & Row, New York 1989, P.15]
The New Testament consists of 4 Gospels and 23 books.
Catholic add 7 more books to their Bible, which Protestants consider apocrypha [DOUBTFUL or UNAUTHENTIC]. so each sect accuses the other with the following verse:
"...If and man shall add unto these things, GOD shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book..." [Rev 22:18-19]
Unfortunately, we do not have a Gospel of Jesus or even ACCORDING to Jesus. the present Gospels were written decades after Jesus Departure.
The Gospel According to Matthew:
The Gospel ascribed to Matthew must have been written in hebrew or Syriac language, because Matthew was a converted Syrian Jew. However, the oldest copy of Matthew is present only in greek today.
We can easily find out that this Gospel was not written by Matthew himself by this verse:
"And as Jesus passed forth from thence, He[Jesus] saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and He[Jesus] said unto him[Matthew], follow me[Jesus]. And he[Matthew] arose, and followed him[Jesus]" [Matthew 9:9]
This verse point the fact that there is a THIRD PERSON besides Jesus and Matthew and that person could be the Author of "Gospel according to Matthew" J. B. Philips, an Anglican translator of the Bible acknowledges this fact.
The Gospel according to Mark:
Mark gospel dates 40s to 70s one of the first Gospel to be recorded among the four. Christians scholars say, Mark was not a Disciple of Jesus. and the author of this Gospel is UNKNOWN.
The Gospel according to Luke:
Luke was also not a disciple either. He is known to be a follower of Paul. His Gospel suppose to have been written in 90 AD. Christian scholars says, 'this author is an intelligent person and his literary skill is good'.
Luke is also the author or 'The Acts'
nevertheless, he also uses the Gospel of Mark freely like the author of Matthew.
The Gospel according to John:
Although the authour of this Gospel is thought to be John, the brother of Disciple Jacob, yet the Christian scholars dispute on the authorship.
This Gospel is very different from the other three, in style and in the informations it contains. this Gospel is written much later from the rest three.
now having said about these FOUR GOSPEL, let us see what Jesus preached:
"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM" [Matthew 9:35]
"Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilie, Preacing the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD" [Mark 1:14]
"And it came to pass, on one of those days; and he taught the people in the temple, and preached the GOSPEL" [Luke 20:1]
now my humble Question:
Which Gospel was Jesus preaching?
Matthew? Mark? Luke? and John? OR
The Gosple which were BANNED by the council of Nicene?
All the four gospel focused on 'Jesus Life Story'
was Jesus preaching about himself? OR he preaching to the people about his ancestors and kingdom of GOD?
where is the Gospel of the kingdom of God??? the one which Jesus preached.
