The purpose of Life

I have always had this question in my mind and I have not been able to get an answer to it. Although I have many different ideas but no conclusive solution. Why am I here? What purpose am I solving? And why would I die?
I am here perhaps because I have a purpose and I would die perhaps because I would have lived the purpose. So what is the purpose?? What do you think??

I don't know what your religion are. But being a devout Christian myself, I learned that the true purpose of our life is to learn and acknowlege the existence of God. We are all here for different purposes and it will be your decision how well you want your life to be.

And exactly that's what I seek to know. The purpose...
Do I need to find it or will the purpose itself guide me towards it?? If the latter is true then perhaps everything that I do is a step closer to my purpose and everything that I do is because my purpose wants me to.
I am a Hindu by religion and my wife is a Christian.
