We are currently doing trigonometric and quadratic equations in maths but just can't seem to get my head round how to do these. Is there an easy way to tackle them or explain them?

The quadratic formula is useful in solving quadratic equations. Where you have ax^2 + bx + c = 0, then: x = [-b ± root(b^2 - 4ac)]/2a.

If you tell me what level you are working at I may be able to help :) Trigonometry follows a set of elementary relationships and rules Quadratic equations are usually the relationship between the second power of a variable to the first power of the variable and any constant. I.E. the result can be checked by plotting a graph which results in a parabola.
