What to do with char??

I was just given some char in a bag (like the salads in a bag) yesterday. I have no idea what to do with it. My family looked at it and didn't seem too thrilled at the idea of me serving it up anytime soon, but they're not the most experimental when it comes to food - much to my dismay! Any ideas as to what I can make with it?

I think "char" is a green not sure,lol. If it is I would add a little to a tossed salad and see if you like. Some like to add spinach, endive and such to a salad so I would treat the "char" like that.
