This is a very good question considering that the selection of items that we're allowed to take on planes has become limited. The few times that I've travled on planes I have been so fascinated by the whole experience that I didn't take anything but a magazine and crossword with me (I hardly used either one because I loved looking out the window the whole time). Since you're traveling with a little one, I would suggest bringing lots for him to drink because usually the little ones feel their ears popping more than the older people do. If you have doubts about something you want to bring, you could always call the airline ahead of time to find out exactly what the restrictions are. Enjoy your trip!

I don't travel via planes.
If i ever do i wouldn't take to much and i'd buy more clothes from the place i'm going to.
It's probably to late to advice you but i wouldn't by a ds however a psp is good.
Kudos!
