i think it depends, i have tried only florals and portraits, l love to paint them, time you put into your painting may depend on its size , the details etc and for portraits i think you need more practice but still i think the only portrait i had made i had finnished within 10-12 hrs.

Portrait every time. You can take a photo a thousand times and not capture the inner being of a person. A painting of someone can reach far deeper and reflect something unique.

If I really want to express myself I do process art. It's an intuitive art form where you put a blank canvas in front of you, and go into a trance state, and paint whatever your inner gut tells you to put on there. You have to resist the urge to make it 'pretty' or 'marketable'. The only goal is to make it real. Sometimes I also do abstract art to express unresolved issues I have inside me.

I think that portraits are the most expressive because you can put a lot of feeling and meaning in the eyes and the expression.

Honestly i like most styles and forms. Anything can impress me and alot can be expressive. all sorts and everything, i run a community for artists and poets so it wouldn't be good if i didn't appreciate them all. Kudos! ~Joey P.s i really like landscapes but also cartoons. =)
