Absolutly! I raised three boys, always wanted a daughter. So when my daughter-in-law came one afternoon after having her ulta sound for the first time, she told me we were going to have a girl. I cried for 2 days straight. Just completely over come with joy. Up until then I had not voiced how much I wanted it to be a girl because I felt it selfish. Emily is 3 now and just the heart of my soul. I did not ever think it was possible to love a child as much as I love my boys. Wish I could share a picture with you but I am not on my home computer. :((

When Cassidy was born, she was the first girl born on either side of the family since my daughter was born 27 years ago. Everyone was thrilled she was a girl, like you were with your granddaughter. Little girls are just so cute. I love little boys, but there's just something about little girls. It's fun being able to buy pink again!

Funny you should say that about the pink. The first thing my Son said when he laid Emily into my arms after she was born is... MOM you are not going to turn her into a Barbie Doll. Sure enough she is a true princess, loves all of the pink and fluffy little girl clothes. I just could not be more thrilled. My Son now has a Son and he has given up on Mom and Nana ands leaves us alone in spoiling her with pink.

I have 4 wonderful grandchildren ages 1 - 7 and they are the joys of motherhood that we always here about. I had hoped to be retired before I became a grandma, but hopefully soon.
There are 3 girls and the oldest is a boy and I just love spending time with them and watching the older two going to school, learning how to read and write, etc.
Being a grandma is the best!

My mom like doing this like you. She likes taking photos herself and collect photos both her photos and family photos. Very funny thing is that she also like helping me to sort out my family photos when she is in my home, for she dislike them in disorder.

What cuties your little ones are.
But of course you know I think my seven grandkids are the best, cutest, smartest, most intelligent. I wish I could post a picture of them, but for safety reasons we don't put their pictures on public sites. (One of the fathers is abusive and we'd rather not give him any chance to find the child.) I will say, though, that we have been approached in public places by representatives from modeling agencies asking us to consider signing the kids with them.
More importantly, they have truly beautiful hearts and souls. They are kind and considerate of others, and there is nothing I cherish more than an "I love you" or a hug from any of them.
