Why Windows Vista is called Windows Vista????

Hi.. Just very curious.. Why the latest windows is called windows vista??
In singapore there is a place called Buona Vista.. buona vista means "good view". So is it Microsoft Bills Gate visited singapore's Buona Vista and saw the good view and decided to name the latest windows as Windows Vista??? Care to share ith me??? :)

I dun think so , there are other places around the world other than singapore's buona vista that are called vista, like Vista Texas or Vista Hundered in sweden , there are alot more.
anyway vista means view, and since windows this time tried to make their ugly OS nicer they decided to call it vista , a view . i think that is what it is
