I think I'm a rare breed. I cannot have my cake and ice cream on the same plate. If it's already served that way at a party, I wont have any. Everyone knows I don't like this and I can usually get a seperate plate for each. I don't like the cake to get soggy and I can't stand crumbs in my ice cream.
Do you eat yours together or seperate?

sunshine - that's what everyone does... If that's how you like it, then go ahead. But me, I can't do that ;)

shadowwalker - I know exactly how you feel. My family would make fun of me all the time because I don't like them together. They're used to it now though.

I can't stand for my cake and ice cream to mix together. It is so gross! I want to be able to taste each separately so I can enjoy my dessert. It doesn't matter to everyone I know. They tell me I'm being silly. Call me silly but at least I'm tasting both foods!

I can't say I'm like this. I have no problem having my cake and ice cream on the same plate. I usually go back and forth between the two, but don't normally eat them together. Or maybe I sometimes do? I honestly don't know. LOL Anyway, what do you do when it's ice cream cake that's being served? Do you just not have any at all?

Yup, I just say "No thank you"
Just the thought of those rampant cake crumbs in the ice cream is making me ill... ICK!!!
I used to eat the ice cream really quick so it wouldn't melt into the cake, but that never really worked.. Then I couldn't eat the cake - and that's my FAVORITE part!!! But if you start with the cake, the ice cream has already melted into the cake and it's going to be gross... You can't win, so I don't even try any more...

That's kinda funny. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone who didn't like cake and ice cream together. I can see your point, though. You wouldn't fit well into my family... we tend to get ice cream cakes and I'm craving one now! Thanks! LOL

Um, no, I definitely could not do that... I don't like melted ice cream either, I have to eat it up while it's still hard.

It has to be separate plates allll the way. Ice cream and Cake were not made to be eaten together! No no no!
Mind you, I won't eat both in one sitting anyway, I have either ice cream OR cake. But that's just me lol.

Oh, I can eat them both in one sitting - I'm a pig. Although I shouldn't eat them together.
But I can't have them touching on the same plate.. That just grosses me out.

They should not go together. They are best separate! But I feel that way about most foods - I hate when all of the foods on my plate run together. I always have to make neat little piles of everything. They are separate experiences!

I really don't like my foods to touch at all, but have grown to tolerate that. My brother HATED it and would mix his foods so that he would not have to eat them. If any food on his plate was touching something else he could not eat either of them.
My husband, on the other hand, mixes whatever we are eating into one big heap before eating it all... UGH! no way for me!!

I would prefer to have them on two seperate plates although I don't know in which order I would like to eat them. If they were served together at somebody elses house I would probably make the most of it and try to eat it or maybe I would ask for just one or the other if they didn't mind.

Everyone that knows me knows I like the seperate so I usually don't have to ask any more. Sometimes I think I'm too picky...

It's all cake for me. Actually, I'd rather have just cake. I do like ice cream, but not with cake, and sometimes that's too much "junk" for me.
