Bd, if my old clothes are tattered I throw them away. If they are as good as new I then give them away to friends, relatives and whoever else will accept them. I do not like to give tthem to persons who will not appreciate them.

I have a friend who is a bit smaller than I am and even shorter so we often change clothes.
She gets sometimes clothes from her friends and if they are too big to her, she brings them to me.
When I have clothes that are too small or short, usually she can have them.
We both go to second hand shops and I have hardly ever bought new clothes for many years.
It is rather fun to use second hand clothes and I have some that I could give to these recycling shops..
Some years ago, I used to send lots of clothes to a friend in Poland and she gave most of them away to those who needed them.

Old clothes can be teared into small pieces and used as cloths for cleaning windows, car windshield, garage. In case the weather gets extreme cold, we put the several old clothes on to keep us warm. So I usually keep most of them. Only a few of my old clothes were given away to the poor people. My family are poor people too. We need the old clothes and we seldom buy new ones.

Hi! I always use my old clothes until they form holes and are totally useless. Then I use them as rags. If I have old clothes that I seldom use or even new ones that I dont like anymore, I give it away to whoever wants it.

I usually ask my sisters if they want any of it first. Whatever they don't want, if it's decent I give it to Goodwill and if it's beat up I toss it.

I donate all my old clothing to charity. My daughter has me keeping the last bunch of clothing and odd and ends because she wants to hold a garage sale. Whatever she doesn't sell I will be drooping off to charity.
I am truly azaxed at what people throw away. I think as long as an item is still usable or wearable it should be given to charity and not put in the trash.

I wear my clothes out and they'd be of no use to anyone. I believe in hand me downs for children because kids grow so fast for one thing also once they get into the higher grades in schools kids are expected to keep up with the trend. If I was lucky enough to find clothes in my size and they were in half decent shape yes I would definately purchase them !!!

during christmas season, charity works are very common. I usually donate old clothes to charities.
If its not christmas season, i usually give my old clothes to my friends or anybody who can use it. If its "TOO OLD" and may no longer be used for wearing, i make them rags.=)

It just depends. If it's in good condition then I'll take it to the resale store and get some money from it. If it's in ok condition I'll either take it to the thrift store or I'll give it to the homeless people. I rarely throw clothes away unless they have holes in them or something that no one will get any good out of.

I try to sell them in a garage sale. If they don't get sold, I give them away. But if the clothes are too worn out, I cut them up to be used as rags.

Living in Samoa I was able to give away a lot our old clothes to friends and mostly to our neighbours. I didn't have many clothes left when we moved to USA, but if and when I do have any, i would donate them to thrift stores or any charity that would like them.
