Every child is different and learns at a different rate .When my three year old was two she knew all her letters , her numbers , her shapes , colors , how to spell her name ect . But she is the exception , as I have five children and she is the only one who knew all this so early . My son only knew three colors when he started school , he knew his numbers but did not recongnize them and knew the alpahabet but only recognized some of them .
We all want what is best for our childen and I think we tend to worry that they might not be up to speed for their age , when the truth is we love them no matter what they are capable of . Just keep showing your little one things and she will eventually catch on , she is going to be smarter then my little one as she will be two in a couple of months and still only says a couple of words lol .

Define her age a little better - there is a big difference between 2 years and 3 monhs and 2 years and 9 months.
By the age of 3 my son knew his alphabet, colors, shapes, he knew how to print most of the upper case letters (some were backwards), he also new his numbers not sure how high and understood basic adding and subtracting. He could print his name and knew his phone number and address.
We started lower case letters at around 4.
