Whats the best thing to do to kick a cold that left you with a nagging cough? I've been coughing since Christmas and enough is enough. I have tried everthing. Mints, cough drops, fay quill, night quill, tea, gargling, hot tottie, loads of water and fruits, vitamins, garlic tablets.
The only time I find I'm not coughing is when I'm dehydrated. As my throat is nice and dry. Other wise I can feel snot draining down the back of my throat that is causing me to cough. Which is why I've tried so many cough meds and sinus meds too. I don't see the point in going to the doctor if he's going to tell me to use something I already used. I am hoping someone will have some tips I didn't think about.

It sounds like you have a constant nasal drip. My mom's doctor suggested that she get surgery on her sinuses because she has tried everything also.. Of course she is going to get a second opinion but so many people are turning to that option. From what I hear its a simple surgery and people feel so relieved when they get the procedure done.
