Ok maybe this has been asked before but I would like to know if you rate the people who reply to your responses ?.
I rate everyone of my responses to my discussions and I try to leave a message to some as I just can't manage them all , but when I look at other peoples responses they don't seem to rate them or even respond to a question asked by the person who are kind enough to reply , Is it a case of maybe they are not even looking at the answers people are leaving them .I know it is nice to make some money but I like to read all my answers some are really lovely and some are really funny , thank you anyway all the people who have responded to mine xx

I rate each and every one of them. I make a comment to some responses if I feel the need to say something but not thank to every response. You say when you look at other people responses they dont seem to rate them. How do you know? You cant see them once you have rated them the next user to go in to that discussion sees all the rating boxes as not being rated the only one you can rate is your own. If the box disappeared after one rating had been made then that means no-one else could rate the response. xx

Oh yes I always rate the discussions since Gaby explained this to me, I also add some comment especially if someone has asked me any questions in regards to my discussions. I enjoy reading the responses from others the majority of there responses I can relate to as well and may you will even pick up a tip for myself.

I read and rate every response I receive on my discussions. I know sometimes I take my time to do it but eventually I get to them. When I joined myLot I didn't know rating actually helps increase earnings, so when I read it on another discussion, I went back to all the discussions I had started and rated every response. I even rate the discussions I respond to.

I rate and respond to comments I receive in my discussions only if I can say something positive. If I feel that I might say something bad, offensive, or negative then I don't respond. I feel obligated to rate and comment. I feel bad if I don't. It makes me feel as if I am not helping to properly conduct my discussions so I started to answer most comments about a month ago.

hey weemam, you are very right, once we start a discussion, we should read all responses we got, and also need to comment those, which is equally imporatant. As others are taking time to raed, time to think and then taking time to type, so atlesat there i feel i suppossed to raed their posts, and i do so, i commnet to my every response i got, have a happy earning!!

Generally I will rate responses which are well thought out and informative and interesting and which are pertinent to my discussion, I won't rate one or two lines. I don't like to abuse the rating system, because if you give everyone a (+) then it doesn't mean anything, it does differentiate a brilliant response to an ok response. I do try to rate fairly and even if I don't respond to each and every response I do read my responses because people have taken the time and effort to read my topic and responded, so again it's only fair I should also take the time and effort to read them!

I try to remember to rate everyone's responses...but you know how absent minded I can be. lol And I always try to reply to everyone's response as well. Believe it or not, it was from your example that I learned. It just seems so much more personal and courteous to let people know that you have read what they typed. It kinda lets them know that their efforts are appreciated (or at least noticed...LOL)

I rate and read all of my responses on a daily basis. If the response is something that I can add more to or reply to in some way, then I do that as well. I'm not sure how many people actually come back and check to see if I've replied, but I like to do it anyway.
I also try to go back and check on the responses I've made to other people's discussions. Sometimes they'll leave a message and I'll reply to that as well. I like the feeling of "finishing" posts that I've made.

If I have made a response that I spent time on then I do go back to see if the person who opened the discussion has made a comment to my response

I rate everyone who responds to my conversations, I just think it is almost like thanking them for taking the time to respond and give their thoughts on my topics. I usually say a thank you of some kind also along with any comments on what they responded with. I usually give everyone a positive rating but I have yet to recieve any of the one liner comments.

I know exactly what your talking about, when you go to a discussion and read all the responses before leaving your response and you notice all the unanswered questions, or the comments that you yourself would have responded back to, and their is nothing you have to wonder if the that discussion starter even bothered to rate the discussions. I do rate all and I too in the beginning was trying to reply to all that responded, but stopped as I don't want to be violating the mylot guidelines, I still feel guilty for this. :) I still do reply, just not to all. I also wonder after the discussion is resolved for the starter if they ever check those discussions?

Exactly .. no point starting a discussion if it wasn't something you wanted folks to know about or get some info about .. I reply to all the folks who have left personal messages or personal experiences .. I think they deserve a little comment for sharing the info with us all ..

I rate every response left in one of my discussions, and I also try to leave a comment. It may take me a while to get to it, but I do. The only negative ratings I give are for 1-2 word answers, totally off-topic answers, or belligerant and offensive answers. If I disagree with a good response, I will still rate it positive, as people have a right to express their opinions. I also rate every discussion that I post in. I think that you are right that a lot of people don't even go back to read the responses that they receive. They don't care, as long as they are making $$. That's why you're one of my friends and they are not!

Yes I do .. I rate all those that give good answers on the topic of the discussion a positive rating .. a minus for those who wrote one word or something that had nothing to do with the discussion .. and then when I have read the last reply i go back and mark my best response ..
I normally wait two weeks beofre I go over a discussion .. that way I can be pretty certain anyone who wanted to reply will have done so .. illnesses, holidays, computer problems etc all accounted for ..

Yes, I rate every response and try very hard to make them +s. I also try to comment on most of them, but unfortunately that can really cut into answer time.
But I do rate them all.

i am new to mylot. on the very first day that i logged in i responded to your discussion about your being a constant worrier.i sincerely replied to u and i loved it that u commented on my response. that in fact got me interested in this whole thing. and since then i have tried to reply and rate every reply that is given to my discussions. i am selective though about rating. i tend to rate those who reply sincerely. i wont be truthful to myself otherways...

I would like to thank you for posting this little question! As a bit of a newbie to this site, I had no idea I could rate the responses to my discussions. I have started now, thank you ;)
