Where was god doing before he created the universe,

I am not an atheist,I really consider myself a believer not sure of what to believe in, so I subscibe to all religions, so I wont be barred from heaven on a technicality, as said Bob Hope.I wish some one could tell me what god was doing before he created the univese,the answers I normally receive leave me more confused.

I am not sure if your question is right. For me, God is eternal, which means that He doesn't depend on time. I think this type of questions can't be answered by our own logic. After all, eternity is not part of our universe.
