I hope I made the right move when I gave advices to my colleague. Sometime this week a colleague of mine just buzzed me in my ym and ask for some advice. She was pretty confused if she'll go on with her plan of taking his client away from the company that were working now and just work at home. I was a little puzzled too for I know that our company is really isn't the ideal..but in fairness we are growing. One thing I told her is to never be ungrateful for it will return to you in any way possible. I told her to stay if she doesn't have any reasons (professional reasons) to leave the company. Not to wit, her client has been very nice to her, unlike the other reps here whose clients are utterly demanding. She did take my advice and now am still seeing her here. Did I make a good counselor?

Thanks for that moving thoughts. I also believe that I didn't just help my colleague grow and become more professional but also our company for not losing a client. In a way, that could affect not just the owners but all of us here. thanks. :)

Anyone who gives good advice in a positive way like you did is a good person in my books.
Some people out there today will give bad advice to others in an effort to further their own cause and make them look good.
You did well and should be proud!

Thanks for the response and for making me feel in a way appreciated. It just helps to hear words of appreciation from people not really that close to you or should I say you haven't gotten acquainted to personally for I presume they are real. :)

Yes you did! It indeed feels rewarding knowing that the advises you gave to your friend somehow made them a better person and spare them from any sorts of danger they could have encountered if you didn't have the courage to give them such helpful advises. You're a true friend who speaks your mind and stand your ground! Keep going!
