My baby started doing tricks like "close, open of palms" and others now that he's 7 months old.But he learned to swing his legs in command by the age of 4 months.Do you think he has a late development or it's just normal? How about your kids, when did they learn to play some tricks?

As they usually say, babies usually have different level of development. Do not intend to compare your baby to others cause she would have her own set of interests and learnings. I realized this now that I have two daugthers. Even they are sisters, they are still very much different. My first born can already roll over before she reached 3 months but my second child now, can't barely lift her side because she's bigger in weight at 3 months. Just continue to do the things you think would let her grow up as a normal kid. Do not pressure yourself also. Mommy knows best actually. Follow your instincts.

My baby started doing tricks when she was 4 months old. Her first tricks are: shake hands, give me five, and close - open. But don't worry. They say that every baby is unique and they meet their milestones at their own pace. Don't think that you're baby is delayed even if he started doing tricks at 7 months old. You can learn more about your baby's development by checking www.babycenter.com. I subscribed to their weekly email and every week they send me emails about my baby's development (what I should expect) every week.

my daughter started turning over at 2.5 months. she can say some words and phrases even before she turned a year old. but she didn't walk until she was 15 months old. my daughter did some tricks very early while she was late on some. i do not really worry about her timing since i know that each baby's development is different. i just let her be (but of course we still teach and coach her). we do not force her. we let her learn in her own time.

Every baby is different. You shouldn't pressure your baby, or yourself :).
