africa settles down

It's not too late, but it's not realistic to envision seeing an entire continent that is so fractured simply settle down and become a normal, functioning part of the world. The economies of the various countries are too far behind and the governments of many too corrupt to take a place in this world right now. Could it happen in the future? Yes. But I don't foresee any major steps being made during my lifetime. And that's sad. There is alot of potential in that continent, but it is already so broken that it will take alot of work to fix it.
