I would just let him know that he is in your prayers, and that you are there for him if he needs a friend. That is always an uplifting statement that is good to hear, especially when it comes from the heart.

That would be so hard. I would sign the card and put something in like he was always there for you if you had any problems at work ect. That way he knows he was a valued person. Just talk to him normally as I am sure he wouldn't want you to ignore him or feel pity for him.

get well and feel better won't work at all so I would go with something along the lines of saying you will be there for him and put a special memory in, something that was good or funny that happened to the 2 of you

In situations like this sometimes not saying too much at all can be good. The words you may be looking for will come from the heart so listen to what is in your mind and just put it down, just make it short! Nothing like "will miss you" or "great to have known you!" That is past tense and may not go down too well!

I would thank them for being a friend and let them know they were in my prayers. If you were close, you may offer some help to him and his family. I'm sure it's a difficult time for t hem all. They may be in need of a helping hand.

I would tell him that you are thinking of him and will be there regardless of how small the task is if you can help. Just knowing that people care and are there to support him and his family is all you can do.

I would just sign my name and say my thoughts are with you. This should relieve any pressure of saying the wrong thing.

I would write something like you are in my prayers. It's really hard to not to say the wrong thing in situation like that.Just letting someone know that you are thinking about them is usually good enough....especialy if you didn't know the person that well.If he's a close friend you can offer your moral support. We tend to pitty people with problems like that.....but just think how you would feel if you were in his shoes.....what would you want people to say to you?

How about telling him that you will be praying for him...no matter what. That your prayers are with him. It is hard to figure out what to say to someone who is just waiting to die....but I think they like to hear that prayers are being said for them.

Sorry to hear. I never can find the right words, so I hand out hugs. If your friend is interested in some things that may help him, have him contact me: starwulf@gmail.com - no guarantees, just hope, and non-traditional answers. Wish you both peace. richard.
